Whether you choose a hands-on role or take part from home, there’s a way to contribute to suit everyone.
Make new friends, bring your existing skills or learn something new and do something that really matters for the future. Volunteers are our lifeblood, and every skills level is welcome. All work is appreciated immensely.
There are four ways to volunteer;
1) WOODLAND CARE SESSIONS – If you would like to Volunteer in the woods, our Volunteer sessions are held on the 1st Sunday of each month, from 10am until lunchtime. Bring a drink or a snack, or lunch. The wood can be wet, so wear boots. Meet in the car-park, enter through Keepers Gate. Just come along, feel free to bring friends. If these dates change or the weather makes it difficult, we will mention it on Facebook or Instagram. So do check beforehand.
2) WOODLAND ACTIVITY FACILITATOR FOR CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE & FAMILIES
We are fortunate enough to have secured funding to deliver woodland activity sessions for community groups involving children, young people and families. To do this, we are looking for volunteers; local people who love being outdoors as much as we do and who may also have some great skills, knowledge and/or experience that can be shared.
- Do you have any experience of working with these groups and would like to be involved in some way?
- Do you have any experience, skills and knowledge about the Natural World that could be utilised?
- Are you an outdoor practitioner who is looking for more hands-on experience?
- Are you an educator who is looking for a more creative outlet?
- Do you just have an interest in getting involved somehow and being in the woods?
- Are you looking for some work experience with these groups?
This opportunity it open to all ages from 18+.

3) JOIN OUR COMMITTEE – This is also an exciting time to get involved with the management committee. If you’d like to become a member of the board, we’d love to hear from you. We meet once a month in Lewes to develop Laughton Greenwood’s sustainable business. We’re always looking for people with woodland, business management, communication, and administration skills.
